Raw Vegan Sushi and Pâté

Basic info

  • Servings: 6
  • Time: 1 hour + optional 2 hours soaking time

Vegan Pâté

  • 1 medium carrot
  • 3 medium tomatoes
  • ¾ cup sunflower seeds
    or young tauge (mung bean sprouts)
  • 1 small red bell pepper
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 lemon
  • salt

Vegan Sushi

  • 50 g nori (dried seaweed)
  • 500 g lettuce, such as Romaine and Lola Rosa lettuce
  • 2 medium carrots
  • 1 big cucumber
    or 2 medium avocadoes
  • ½ lemon


Note: These directions are minimal as much of the information is provided in the video above.

  1. If using sunflower seeds, pre-soak them for at least 2 hours.
  2. Process pâté ingredients in food processor.
  3. Put lettuce, carrots, cucumber/avocado and pâté on nori, shiny side down. Roll sushi and seal with lemon juice.


  • You can buy a food processor at appliance stores, malls and some supermarkets. 650 watts is sufficient.
  • Sunflower seeds are available at health stores, such as Healthy Options.
  • Nori can be found at Asian stores and many supermarkets.
